Get to know us!

As you have already seen, we take our business practices to the highest level of quality.  We want the industry to know that when you buy a "Finni Appaloosa" that you are buying the best Appaloosa Horse available. We are country through and through and believe in the traditional ways of doing business, when a man's word and a firm handshake meant something.  In addition, we have thrown in the Navy philosphies of Honor, Courage and Commitment.  We are not a mass production line of foals so we can concentrate on offering a few high quality foals every year.  This allows us to keep up with breeding our mares to the best quality stallions that are available.  Alot of love and care is invested into each one of our foals and I am positive that you will love your "Finni Appaloosa".

Mrs. Diane Margaret (Coffey) Finnicum

Diane was born in New York about an hour outside of NYC.  My father was a mounted cop in NYC and my 1st horse was a retired police horse...16 hand jet black Tennessee Walker named Wally.  My family relocated to Virginia when I was 12 years old and we bought a farm.  At that point we had a wide array of horses including Appaloosas, QHs, Paints and TBs.  I was introduced to the "Country Life" and have never left since.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, primarily focusing on Equine Business and Equine Reproduction.  All throughout my childhood years and on through college I rode english, but I'm looking forward to learning western riding!  I have competed at the college level in dressage, hunters, jumping etc...Horses are my life!

Mr. Chel Michael Finnicum

Chel was born and raised in Sidney, Montana by Elvin and Josephine Finnicum along with 3 other brothers and two sisters.  He enlisted in the Navy on September 28th, 1988 and currently holds the rank of LCDR.  He has degrees in Accounting and Management that he earned while on Active Duty.  At the moment he is stationed at NAS JRB Fort Worth, Texas. Even with this background, Chel is still quite the Country Boy at heart and enjoy's the challenges that come along with running a horse business.
